"As long as people have hands, some will try to use them carefully, attentively, and with passion. The theater of skill will never become obsolete. Count on it."

About Me

Welcome to my website!

I am a fourth year Industrial Design student at the University of Cincinnati with an interest in furniture, lighting, sustainability, and functional art.

My goal is to improve the lives of others not only through the health of the earth, but through a healthy state of mind. Incorporating these values into my designs is what makes me passionate and excited to see it through to the end.

I love spending time outdoors and exploring new places. You can often find me snowboarding, rock climbing, crocheting, or trying out any new activity I can get my hands on. I have visited or lived in 7 countries in the past year. I am a firm believer in living life to the fullest because new experiences inspire unique design.

Some of my adventures

The ARMORY Bleacher Concept

Brief:
Create a set of bleachers that aligns with the stakeholder’s desired aesthetic, and adheres to the wants of the stakeholder and the target audience.

Goals:
- Capitalize on the space by making some parts movable, and by creating extra storage within each piece.

- Bring the space together by making the elements flow.

Research

To get an idea of the space, I went to a few basketball games.

I observed how the audience interacted with the bleachers and how the sidelines were used by the players during games.

I conducted interviews to understand the wants of the audience and players.

The ARMORY Score Table

Brief:
A score table that is able to hold all necessary technology for the stakeholder’s needs with a design that transitions smoothly into the bleachers.

Goals:
- Fits in a limited space
- Provides the space needed for media producer and score keepers
- Aligns with the minimalistic aesthetic of the bleacher concept
- Stays within budget

Research

Problems:
At the start of this project, the score keepers and media producer were working from three card tables. The technology was zip-tied to the bottom of the tables, and they were sitting on a mess of wires. They were using foldable chairs, which were not ideal for the small space they were working with.
